How do I make an appointment with the FMHC?

Call 833.444.9144 or e-mail to support@floridamhc.org. All clinical services will be provided by MHC licensed professionals, under the direct supervision of Dr. Rick Buitrago, Clinical Director.


How do I know if I qualify for free services?

All services are billed to insurance if applicable, co-payments made be waived if eligible. If you are uninsured, please advise when you call.


What does “underinsured” mean?

Underinsured refers to two variables:
1. There is viable insurance, but the copayments are prohibitive
2. Many insurance policies limit the number of mental health visits. FMHC will ensure continuum of care after insurance expires.


Will I get to select my counselor?

Our professional team will walk thru an intake process to connect you with the clinician that is matched to your individual needs.


How do I know which kind of mental health services are relevant for me?

Call us. Email us. We will help you determine the best course of treatment.


What should I do if I am having suicidal thoughts?

Get Help: Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.


What steps is the FMHC taking in their appointments to honor COVID safety?

We are following CDC recommended guidelines along with County and City mandates. Masks are required and we are maintaining social distancing.
