Programs


Established in 2019, Florida Mental Health Coalition (FMHC) launched as the nonprofit 501c3 umbrella arm to Mental Health Center of Florida, closing the gap to be the safety net for the most vulnerable. By leveraging the generosity of individual philanthropists, corporate partners and foundations, FMHC has targeted services to help the most vulnerable.

Honoring Heroes

  • Providing mental health clinical services to law enforcement officers via telehealth, assuring day, evening and weekend availability.

Police Athletic League

  • Dedicated mental health clinician stationed at area Police Athletic League programs, providing counseling to identified youth as well as character-building workshops for all members.

Building Community & Healing Hearts

  • Providing free mental health clinical services to uninsured and under-insured youth ages 18 and under.
  • Partnering with area police departments to provide mental health clinical services to identified at-risk juveniles.

COVID-19

  • Providing PPE supplies to area hospitals and providing meals to first responders on the front line of the pandemic battle.
  • Delivered more than 75,000 food packages since April 2020 to the unemployed and those in need who were directly impacted by the pandemic.

School Safety

  • Breaching Barriers: Detect, Refer, Prevent — an evidence-based program designed to breach the barriers between educators and mental health professionals, that helps identify at-risk youth via psychological measures developed specifically in response to the escalation of violence and mental illness in schools.

Elderly

  • Allocated funds to Assure free mental health services to uninsured or under-insured seniors residing in Assistant Living Facilities or Long-Term Care Centers.
